What is packing slip?
A packing slip is the document packed with a shipment that lists the items and quantities inside, so the receiver can check the delivery against the order. It shows the customer’s PO number and, unlike an invoice, frequently leaves out prices.
Packing slip example
A receiving clerk counts 46 cartons against a packing slip listing 48 and notes the shortage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing.
